Aaron on rainbow colored poo-poo.
Ok... so Nnifer & I haven't had kids yet, but in the daily
speak with my Customers who are mainly young mothers, I get
more than my fair share of advice on just about everything...
including, but not limited to potty training children.
My
Parents generally used the no pants long shirt method. I seem
to be able to relieve myself alright, so I think this works.
"The kid knows when he goes".
Moria
- a jar of chocolate chips on the toilet, when her kid does
his business he gets one... he'll probably never be able to
relieve himself without eating chocolate... hmm...
Jean
- when her boys we're little she'd put Cheerio's in the toilet
and "let them have target practice". She also puts red food
coloring in the toilet for the girls, thus when the business
is done it's turns pink, and for the boys blue, which turns
green. This is called the "Magic Water" method. She has also
used M&Ms - plain for pee, peanut for a bowel movement. "Yes,
my kids are potty trained! ... just too bad their teeth are
all filled with cavities!" When she was on WIC many years
ago there was a cereal which gave kids rainbow colored bowel
movements... yikes!
This
wraps up today's banter.
What
methods worked for your kids? Aaron
Cheers.
Aaron...
where'd
I put those chocolate chips? I gotta go...
