Communist collective or just a bunch of silly people? "Yes" and "yes". Well, maybe, "not really" and "yes".

We are just a group of people who became fed up with eating crap and decided to do something about it. To that end we founded the Blooming Idiots Food Buying Club.

We had little experience with this kind of thing. Previously, we bought the same junk at the grocery store that everyone else did and suffered the same consequences that everyone else did. Finally we decided that, yes we are all hippie freaks, donned our tie dye, sandals and let our hair grow long. Really, though, we all pretty much decided we'd had enough and that it was time to take better care of ourselves and eat and live in a more healthy manner. Thus the Blooming Idiots buying club.

We purchase our food through the Blooming Prairie co-op in Iowa City, IA. They are a very, very nice bunch of people and we couldn't be happier with our decision.
