Okay so the new web site is up. Big deal right?

I had my usual smartass column written, but there was something bothering me and the more I thought about it, the more it bothered me.

Why am I doing this? Why do I spend these countless hours, days upon days, weeks upon weeks, sleepless nights, restless days, ignoring my family, my friends, my life. (Okay so I went a little overboard. Everyone knows I have no life and no friends.) My social inadequacies notwithstanding, the question remains. Why?

And the tote board shows…it's obviously just a labor of love. And it truly is that. Love.

I have come to really believe in the vegetarian lifestyle and more importantly, in just a healthier lifestyle altogether. Well, save for the constant smoking. Other than that. Oh, and there is the beer. But that's it. I mean it. Well, the heroin and crack, but really that's it. Okay, the hookers. But let's not count that okay?

Seriously, this labor that I've undertaken, this website that requires my constant attention, is there so that we might pass on some of the things that we have grown to believe in and try to make our little part of the world a better place.

Is it working? I don't know. You tell me. I'm not sure how many of you really use the damn thing. I know that when I look at the site statistics, it seems like at least several of you out there are. We get or rather we did get, before I took the site down for redesign, a hefty amount of traffic. But to what end? Are we doing any good? Is anyone out there? Hello, anyone, anyone. Bueller?

As the site is a constantly evolving organism with a life all it's own, I can't say what the next day will bring here. We'll try to keep it interesting, informative and maybe just a little bit fun.
